We had a great day at KKC Karate’s 10th Birthday Party last Saturday 17th November. With close to 60 students there to help with the celebrations.
There were a couple of minor hiccups on the day that were overcome by all who helped out, thank you. Special thank you to; Diane for helping me put the day together, Anthony, Allegra and Sophie with the decorations, thank you Anita and Chris you saved the day in the kitchen. Also thank you to all the activity team leaders, it is special to be able to rely on my seniors to help out and just know it will be done right; Anthony, Scott, Jonathan, Gabriel and Rory.
Also thank you to our special guest Shihan Shah, pictured giving me a letter of congratulations from Hanshi Steve Arneil.
This was a great day and I especially thank all of the students and families who have supported my dojo over the last 10 years, you have made it all worth it and without you we would not be here. I feel so lucky to be doing what I enjoy most and sharing it with you all.

Well it is nearly that time of year again, the Annual IFK – Australia Karate Camp with Shihan David Pickthall from the UK instructing, can’t wait!
This year it will have a slightly different format with Friday 18th January being Kids Day that will finish with a tournament.
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th will be traditional training and a beach session, not sure if this will be Saturday or Sunday morning, but it is always a great session.

Happy birthday to us!
Well it is official on the 6th November we turned 10 years old. It seems like yesterday that I opened the school. When I think of the student over the 10 years, it feels really special to have been a part of their lives and their development.

KKC Karate had a great day at the recent International Federation of Karate (IFK) 15th Annual Karate Championships held on Sunday 28th October at Petersham Town Hall.
KKC Karate was well represented with 25 students entered, we were treated to some fabulous displays of points and clicker kumite sparring, Congratulation and well done to you all, it was great to watch the sparring on the day. Pictured above are the KKC students

It is always so good to see the students develop in their karate.
Congratulations to some of the kinder students who received their red tips on their obi (belt) Kinder students pictured. Whilst we don’t have a formal grading process for the kinder students, we do recognise their attendance and development.
